Men are not the only

deadbeats.

"She" can be one too! When you look at the deadbeat sites, ask yourself if you're behaving like a deadbeat, and remember that men are victims of  "her" deadbeat  mentality also.

Whether you are a custodial parent, a non-custodial parent, a first wife, a second wife, a girlfriend, a boyfriend, ask yourself if you're behaving in the best interest of the child.

1/30/2001 Ss continues to try to make the socks and pants an issue.  He loudly proclaims how he's busy all weekend with Robotics, and must buy socks and pants.

I came up with a list of boundaries I share with dh.  If we feel the need to, we'll share them with ss and perhaps bm:

We don't answer the kids' phone. That's what their voice mail is for.

We won't tolerate bm calling our phone or the cell phone repeatedly to get hold of ss. We can hang up anytime.

We tell ss to call his mom when she leaves a message with us. We leave returning the call up to him. According to court order, calls can be returned up to 24 hours later.

We won't deal with ss while he's on the phone with his mom.

We won't deal with issues she addresses thru ss. We won't deal with issues at drop off or pick ups. We can choose not to address issues she brings up over the phone. Again, we can hang up at any time.

She is to put any of her concerns in writing to dh.

If bm or ss violate the boundaries regarding phone use, he can lose his bedroom phone, she can leave messages for ss only on his voice mail (we'll give her the #), and he'll only return phone calls rather than receive them. If this happens, my girls will not be accepting phone calls from bm. They will hang up.

Contrary to ss's impression, the court order does not address that dh must provide clothing to ss that he or bm think he needs.

Dh provides ss with what DH decides ss needs in this household, not what bm or ss says ss needs in this household.

The court order does state, "petitioner shall deliver ... all of (ss's) clothing and personal effects and other possessions". Are all of ss's clothes with him at his dad's household?

Bm is welcome to mail clothes left behind or ss can get them when he goes to his mom's the next time.

Bm is welcome to buy ss stuff when she thinks he needs them or she wants him to have them because according to California state law, BOTH parents provide for their children.
